Brigham Young University-Idaho received a sizable injection of Internet bandwith when the school connected with the Idaho Regional Optical Network (IRON) this week.
Idaho Connects to the National High-Performance Computer Network - October 20, 2008
With a flick of a switch, Idaho Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter launched the Idaho Regional Optical Network (IRON) GigaPoP connection in Boise Oct. 9. This GigaPoP is Idaho's connection to the nation's ultra high-speed research computer network -- the National Lambda Rail.
IRON Membership to the Quilt Approved- September 24, 2008
Idaho Regional Optical Network (IRON) is pleased to announce its membership in The Quilt. IRON’s application for membership was approved on September 24, 2008 at The Quilt’s fall meeting held in Newport, Rhode Island.
